The Spatial Distribution of A Tropical Rainforest

Tropical Rainforest is diverse and complex because they are home to more than half of the world’s plant and animal species. It contains  1,500 flowering plants, 750 species of trees, 400 species of birds and 150 species of butterflies. The environment is pretty wet, maintaining a high humidity of 77% to 88% per year. The annual rainfall ranges from 200cm to 1000cm. It can even downpour as much as 5 cm per hour. The soil in this biome is not very fertile and has a thin layer of fertile soil found at the surface where most of the dead leaves decompose.
